Pratilipi will provide up to 200 fiction books from the HarperCollins publishing company, the online storytelling platform said on Monday.
Starting in June, the Hindi and English e-books will be accessible on the site.
"Pratilipi now provides readers with access to more than 10 million tales on our platform, and with the new relationship (with HarperCollins), we are excited to grow our current collection and provide our customers with even more high-quality content to devour. We intend to advance our cooperation by adding additional books in the future, according to Ranjeet Pratap Singh, co-founder, and CEO of Pratilipi, in a statement. This is only the beginning.
"Do Log" by Gulzar, "The Living Mountain" by Amitav Ghosh, "Nar Nareeshwar" by Perumal Murugan, "A Hundred Little Flames" by Preeti Shenoy, "The Vault of Vishnu" by Ashwin Sanghi, "Dopehri" by Pankaj Kapur, and "One Arranged Murder" by Chetan Bhagat are some of the titles chosen.
HarperCollins claims that the 200 novels they chose would reach a hugely expanded audience thanks to their partnership with Pratilpi.
"For more than 30 years, HarperCollins has published novels of the greatest caliber in India. We are still as enthusiastic and dedicated to bringing the works of our writers to as many readers as we can. Rahul Dixit, senior vice-president of HarperCollins Publishers India, stated, "We regard this cooperation as an opportunity that adds a lot of value to this goal of ours.
